Search Omni for material in multimedia formats:

  • Search by topic keywords and select Resource Types filter Videos to list streamed video and DVDs
  • Use Advanced Search to search by keyword and choose Resource Type Video/Film

 

Streaming Sources

Use the web proxy. to access resources from off-campus.

Search for these streaming resource titles under the "Databases" tab on the library home page:

Criterion on-Demand: Over 2900 films ranging from classic film, documentaries, international film, North American feature films, cult classics, and more for streaming or downloading. Requires use of the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in on both PC and Mac.

Curio.ca: educational content from CBC and Radio-Canada television and radio, including documentaries, news reports, archival material, stock shots and more.

Films on Demand: Documentaries, educational videos and news footage. Requires latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

NFB.ca: National Film Board Videos Online: Over 1000 NFB films are free to all Canadians, but Queen's Library community also has an additional account giving access to 3,000 films for classrooms.
