Find Handbooks in the Education Library

Picture of the Education library reference collection. The most recent editions of the major handbooks on both research methodologies and topics in education are shelved in our Reference collection on Floor 2.

These current editions have a 3-day loan period with renewals possible unless a hold is placed by another user.

Earlier editions of these most popular handbooks and less heavily used handbooks are shelved on Floor 3 in the research collection.

In the Reference Collection, browse the handbooks by subject, using the Library of Congress call number classification.

For a more systematic search, and to find handbooks in the general stacks on Floor 3 or other campus libraries, do an advanced search in Summon to locate handbooks by keyword.  For example, to find a handbook that covers research on reading, I would change ALL FIELDS to TITLE and search for handbook reading:

Summon search for handbook reading

Next, select Books / e-Book as the Content Type on the left-sidebar.
Then, limit by Publication Date range.
Finally, you may find it useful to RE-SORT your results to view the most titles at the top of your result list.
