The default search type in ATLA is the Advanced Search. To locate information on "how spirituality is reflected in children's literature," enter each search term on a separate line and combing with AND -- the default operator.
Another useful feature that guides you through refining your Advanced Search is Limit your results. A few of the most frequently used limits include:
- peer reviewed or scholarly journals
- date range (of journal publication)
- articles (as opposed to conference proceedings, etc.)
- language (English, for example)
