Classics and Archaeology

Introduction

Scholarly journal articles are very important sources for research as they contain current research in each field and often focus on a particular aspect of a topic.

To locate articles on your topic, start with Omni and then use one of the subject indexes or a databases recommended on this guide.

The majority of your articles will be available electronically. Bound issues of print journals are located on the second floor of Stauffer Library and are shelved by call number.

Refine Your Results

Indexes and databases contain a variety of types of articles including popular (magazine) and academic or scholarly or peer-reviewed (journals).

If you are looking for scholarly or peer reviewed articles, you can typically restrict your search results to only peer reviewed journal articles by applying a search limit in the database.

Limit your search to Peer Reviewed articles, to Source Types such as Academic Journals or by Publication Date
