I-EDIAA Resources for the Faculty of Law

The Human Rights and Equity Office offers various free courses on human rights, equity, accessibility, and sexual violence prevention and response for Queen’s staff, students, and faculty. Courses are taught in a variety of formats and at various paces, providing users with the flexibility to choose a format that works best for them.

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives builds community, advances reconciliation/conciliation and integrates Indigenous ways of knowing and being into the fabric and life of the university. Sections of the website include resources related to Truth and Reconciliation, Ways of Knowing, and Faces, Spaces and Places (which explores the Indigenous Peoples, spaces and areas around campus).

In November 2021 Queen’s became a signatory to the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education. This page, from the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, provides related resources and gives more information about ongoing work at Queen’s. In February 2024, the Black Liberation Commons in Robert Sutherland Hall opened its doors.

Queen’s Campus Wellness Project maintains a page on supports and resources for students, focused on Local Supports and Resources, Human Rights Advising and Supports, Mental Health Supports, Peer Supports, Sexual Violence Prevention and Response, and Supports for BIPoC Students.

The Allyship & Belonging Student Calendar (ABC calendar) from Campus Wellness is a central hub for finding and promoting events and initiatives across campus specifically for equity-deserving students and students wanting to become better allies. QSAS’s mission is to support students with disabilities throughout their university career. In turn, QSAS provides both students and educators with the resources and support they need to eliminate barriers for students with disabilities. Some useful resources include information on Queen’s accommodation policies, students’ rights, and Universal Design for Learning principles.
