Correctional Services Canada publishes research in a number of areas:

- Correctional programs and interventions
- Health and mental health
- Substance abuse
- Profiles and forecasting of people who are incarcerated
- Women who are incarcerated
As part of the Jahn Settlement, the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services has posted a series of point-in-time reviews that include incarcerated people in segregation who have possible mental health conditions.
There are also Correctional Services Tables (Statistics Canada) related to Adult correctional services; Youth custody and community services; and Admissions and releases for correctional services.
John Howard Society of Ontario
- The John Howard Society of Ontario's Centre of Research, Policy & Program Development conducts non-partisan, multi-disciplinary research into criminal justice issues and provides research reports, infographics, fact sheets, and other publications.
- Annual Reports include various statistics about people who are incarcerated and conditions in federal prisons.
