Courtesy: Wikimedia Commons. Virgin and Child with Saints by a Netherlandish painter (possibly Hugo van der Goes), c. 1472, oil on wood, private collection. In the 17th century, the paint layers on the figures of the Mary and Saint John the Baptist were scraped off and repainted to produce The Marriage of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. The later additions were removed in 1983.
