Copyright Information for Students

Prepared by the Copyright Advisory Office at Queen's University, this guide provides copyright information that will be useful to students.

Consultations

Consultations with the Copyright Advisory Office are available for Queen's students and may be helpful if...

- You have questions that you would prefer to ask in real time, rather than via email or chat;

- You have concerns that you would like to discuss; and/or

- You have content or work that you would like to have reviewed.

Consultations are generally booked in 30 minute or 1 hour increments and can take place in person, online, or over the phone. It is possible to book a consultation on the day that you need or would like to meet but it is best to book a consultation 1 to 2 days in advance.

If you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact Meaghan Shannon, Copyright Librarian: meaghan.shannon@queensu.ca

Please note that while consultations are available, you're more than welcome to ask questions via email or chat. If you come across content from an online source and you're not sure whether or how that content can be used, please feel free to send the links to the content and the online source via email or chat and we'll respond with feedback and any suggestions.
