Protocols

A protocol is a predefined written procedural method in the design and implementation of experiments. Protocols are written whenever it is desirable to standardize a laboratory method to ensure successful replication of results by others in the same laboratory or by other laboratories. Protocols also have the added benefit of facilitating the assessment of experimental results through the peer review process.

Springer Protocols
Springer Protocols is an online database of reproducible laboratory protocols in the biomedical and life sciences.
Protocol Exchange
The Protocol Exchange is an open repository for sharing scientific research protocols. These protocols are posted directly on the Protocol Exchange by authors and are made freely available to the scientific community for use and comment.
Nature Methods
Publishes novel methods and significant improvements to established techniques in life sciences research.
Methods
Journal that focuses on rapidly developing techniques in the experimental biological and medical sciences. Each topical issue is comprised of invited articles by specialist authors.
JoVE
JoVE is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes experimental techniques in video format.
Nature Protocols
Nature Protocols is an interactive online resource for experimental and laboratory protocols for bench researchers primarily in biology and chemistry. Protocols are presented in a 'recipe' style providing step-by-step descriptions of procedures that users can take to the lab bench and immediately apply in their own research. Protocols on the site are fully searchable and organized into logical categories to be easily accessible. Together, 'Nature Protocols' and the interactive 'Protocols Network' create a dynamic forum for scientists to upload and comment on protocols.
