Copyright Information for Faculty

Prepared by the Copyright Advisory Office at Queen's University, this guide provides copyright information that will be useful to to anyone involved in teaching in the classroom or online, curriculum development, and the construction of course sites.

Consultations

Consultations are available for Queen's faculty, anyone involved in teaching in the classroom or online, anyone involved in the development of curriculum, and anyone involved in the construction of course sites.

A consultation may be helpful if...

- You have questions that you would prefer to ask in real time, rather than via email or Teams chat;

- You have concerns that you would like to discuss;

- You have course materials that you would like to have reviewed; and/or

- You would like to have your course site reviewed.

Consultations are generally booked in 30 minute or 1 hour increments and can take place in person, online, or over the phone. It is possible to book a consultation on the day that you need or would like to meet but it is best to book a consultation 1 to 2 days in advance.

If you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact Meaghan Shannon, Copyright Librarian: meaghan.shannon@queensu.ca

Please note that while consultations are available, you're more than welcome to ask questions via email or Teams chat. If you come across content from an online source and you're not sure whether or how that content can be used, please feel free to send the links to the content and the online source via email or Teams chat and we'll respond with feedback and any suggestions.
