GNDS 215: Introduction to Sexual and Gender Diversity

Reference Resources

Finding background information on the topic you are interested in is a great way to start your research. Reference sources such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies and handbooks can help you define terms as well as find overviews of topics and theories and identify keywords or alternate terms for database searching.

The resources featured in this guide are available online, but there are many more that are available in print in Staffer Library. Consult the Gender Studies Library Research Guide for more recommendations.

Choosing a Topic

Selecting a topic is part of the research process. Watch this short video, produced by NCSU Libraries, to learn more.
