Evaluating Websites

Evaluating your sources is an important step in the research process. There are a number of approaches for evaluating health-related information.

The CRAAP Test is a list of questions to help researchers evaluate sources of information. It is a tool to help you think critically about the quality of health information.
Think of the following criteria during evaluation:    
  • Accuracy
  • Authority
  • Currency
  • Purpose
  • Relevance
