PROF 310 Library Guide

Here you will find assistance to support work assigned in PROF 310.

Find a Curriculum Resource

1. BROWSE the collections

If you already have an idea of the resource you want, use the Library of Congress call number guide to browse the appropriate collection:

  • Children's & YA Books, Floor 1
  • School Textbooks, Floor 1
  • Hands -on Teacher Resources (Big Books, DVDs, Kits, posters, & more), Floor 1, Teacher Resource Room, Floor 1
  • Teaching Collection, Floor 2
  • General Stacks Books, Floor 3

2. SEARCH QCAT, the Queen's Library Catalogue

Select the Advanced Search tab so you can take advantage of the LOCATION limit. That way, you can limit your results to a particular type of format (children's books, DVDs, school textbooks, etc.)

3. Bonus idea:

Join your public library!

Teachers love to search NoveList to identify fiction on a theme.

Search this book-lover's database via your public library's online collection if you want to find a curriculum resource that is a piece of literature or an information book. You will need to also check QCAT to see if the item is available at Queen's.  Best if you want picture books.
