Grey Literature

Grey literature is any literature that is not published in the traditional sense. There are many types of grey literature ranging from scholarly sources to more community-based resources. Examples of grey literature include:

  • Government documents, theses, annual reports, conference proceedings.
  • Websites of associations or professional organizations, ngos, newsletters, and blogs.

Grey literature is not easily found and is often excluded from library databases. Some library databases contain grey literature in addition to journal articles. For example:
