JOURNALS
New home for the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (JASMS)
ACS and the American Society for Mass Spectrometry have joined in a new partnership to publish the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (JASMS). Queen’s researchers can access JASMS via our ACS journal package.
New ACS Journals in 2020
ACS is launching two new journals in 2020: ACS Environmental Science & Technology Engineering and ACS Environmental Science & Technology Water. ACS ES&T Engineering “will publish experimental and theoretical research in the interdisciplinary areas of environmental technology, engineering and chemistry.” ACS ES&T Water will “publish original, high-quality peer-reviewed research on the broad topic of water quality and anthropogenic and geogenic contaminants, as well as the environmental chemistry and technology for sustainable water management and reuse.” Both journals will begin accepting submissions in the spring of 2020.
ACS is also launching a new fully open access journal titled ACS Au (pronounced "ACS Gold"). The new journal "will allow for the rapid dissemination of cutting-edge, high-impact research across the breadth of chemistry and all related areas intersecting with chemistry" and "will be complementary to the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS)"
RSC launches RSC Chemical Biology
RSC recently announced the launching of RSC Chemical Biology, a new gold open access journal. The chair of the editorial board is Dr. Hiroaki Suga of the University of Tokyo. In order to lower barriers and encourage submissions, RSC is waiving author processing charges until mid-2022.
