About CSA

The Canadian Standards Association is a not-for-profit standards development and membership-based association. CSA is the largest standards development organization (SDO) in Canada and is accredited in Canada and the U.S. to develop standards in a wide range of subject areas.

The CSA standards package includes current and historical standards in the following areas: construction and engineering, electrical energy, environmental health and safety, mechanical and industrial equipment quality, and business management systems. Examples of available standards include the Canadian Electrical Code and the Design of Concrete Structures.

The new CSA platform allows users to create a user account and save their favourite standards in their own folders, all users can access CSA collections provided by Queen's Library by going to My Library on the home page

When clicking on the My Library a list of all available subjects appear to browse or using the search box at the home page

Clicking at any standard record will collapse into sub records to include active and past standards that can be viewed online or downloaded as PDF files

Recommended Browser

Please use Internet Explorer to access the CSA database. Other browsers may work, but not consistently.

Database Speed

The database is very slow compared to other databases. When you open a PDF document, please wait untill the document is fully loaded and opened.
