What is CGSB?

The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) is a federal government agency and one of the largest SDOs in Canada. It currently oversees more than 900 standards and specifications in a variety of subject areas.

Many current CGSB standards are freely available from the Government of Canada Publications website. The complete set should be available in the fall of 2017.

Finding Print CGSB Standards in Omni

Use Omni to find CGSB standards from the 1980s through 2011 by number or title keyword. Most CGSB standards are located in Stauffer Library Government Documents and the Engineering and Science Library. Only selected CGSB standards are available from 2012 forward.
