Ethical AI Use
Student groups develop mind maps of what does and does not constitute ethical AI use when completing a class assignment. For example, AI could be used to assist with generation of keywords, unpacking specific concepts and ideas using basic vocabulary, suggesting an outline of sections for an essay.
Citation Analysis
Students use a single research topic prompt to create a Generative AI Overview in Google. They analyze each citation to discover what type of source the information is taken from (e.g. scholarly verifiable article, blog, website) and the context in which the citation is used. Discussion follows around whether selected citations offer sufficient and reliable evidence to corroborate the cited information.
