Research Success

Download Research Success @ Your Library: A Guide for Secondary Students (2012) published by the Toronto District School Board. This guide provides a model for the inquiry process and takes students through all the steps of a four-stage research cycle:

Exploring: developing reserach questions

Investigating: locating sources of information; scanning and skimming texts, recording sources

Processing: evaluating sources and websites; not-taking techniques; writing in your own words

Creating: editing; formatting; citation; images and copyright; presenting information visually
