The Research Data Storage Finder (RDSF) is a self-service, interactive tool that supports researchers in evaluating storage options and services based on a range of features and requirements for their research data. A collaboration between Queen’s Information Technology Services, Queen’s University Library and the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio including the Centre for Advanced Computing, Queen's is dedicated to equipping the research community with resources like the Research Data Storage Finder that align with best practices in research data management, funder requirements and ethical, legal and commercial obligations.
The tool provides local, national and international options that are available to the university community and vetted by experts at the institution. Researchers answer questions about their needs to narrow down storage provider options, select options they would like to compare, and email the results to themselves.
