Items are arranged according to the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS CLASSIFICATION scheme: Class M for Music and Books on music.
Generally, items are shelved alphabetically in author order within each subject class number. Class M (MUSIC) consists of 3 main sections:
Music study room 236 is on the 2nd floor of Stauffer Library. It includes a new Roland HP704 Digital Piano purchased by the library in November 2022. The digital piano includes Bluetooth connectivity, 3D ambience headphone functionality, and on-board tutorials. Music students take precedence with reserving the room, but it is open to anyone when not reserved.
Music students can also borrow AV equipment. The music cart includes a laptop with Windows 10, record turntable, Mini Amp headphone adapter, and 4 sets of headphones. The cart is available on 3-hour loan at the Information Services desk in Stauffer Library. Priority will be given to music students.
